A Nepali student lost his life in a scooter accident in Sydney’s north-west suburb Cherrybrook Friday night. He was just turned 23 and arrived in Australia last August to pursue further studies family sources said. 

Friday 4 August 2023 Sujan Ghimire has an accident at the intersection of New Line Road and Purchase Road, Cherrybrook. He lost his life at the scene. As per police report just before 11pm (Friday 4 August 2023), emergency services were called after a Honda motorcycle and Nissan Navara had collided.

The driver of Nissan Navara, a 20-year-old man, was uninjured and released after mandatory testing pending further investigation. 

Nepalese community in New South Wales organised fundraiser to repatriate the body Nepal where family will complete cremation as per their culture. Community raised almost 20 thousands dollars within 10 hours on Gofundme.
